Razer is well known in the gaming industry for their gaming peripherals. The Razer Copperhead was one of their best mice to have been introduced and it contained a laser sensor with 2000 DPI capabilities, but their newest mouse, the Lachesis, uses a 4000DPI 3G laser sensor. Now the question, is it worth the price tag?
The Razer Lachesis has a 9 programmable buttons. This is the reason why it is loved by many gamers. The mouse comes with software that allows you to program them to your liking.. It even has a 32 KB internal memory which allows the users to save their profiles to the mouse rather than to your system. Basically, you can take your mouse to your friends house and not have to set it up again. The profiles can be changed with the profile switch on the bottom on the mouse. This addition is really helpful to players that play FPS's or RPG's.
The design on this mouse is really good. It feels really good in your hand and has a sleek, sexy look. It has a razer sign on the back of the mouse where you palm is that glows blue, red, or white depending on which color you bought. The mouse buttons are real easy to use and the scroll wheel is nice and fluid. The USB connector is plated with gold. It has a zero acoustic Ultra-slick Teflon feet for good sliding purposes.
Out of all the good , there is only 1 bad. Razer currently doesn't have drivers for linux yet for this mouse.
Overall I would give this mouse about a 4 out of 5. If you looking for the best mouse for gaming, you can't go wrong with the Razer Lachesis.
